Ruth, the Moabitess, feels powerless to escape the shame and abuse she suffers at the hand of her father. Even more tormenting are the lies she believes about herself that the abuse is her fault and that she is a worthless adaughter of Lot.a Desperate for deliverance, she prays to the God of Israel, hoping this foreign God will make a way of escape. When she marries the Israelite, Mahlon, it appears God is answering her prayers. But her joy is short-lived when Mahlon dies suddenly. Now Ruth must choose to remain with her own people or travel to Israel with her mother-in-law to live as a barren foreigner with little hope for future happiness. Will Ruthas faith in her newfound God be strong enough to carry her through the difficult days in her new homeland, or will she succumb to the old lies that threaten to overwhelm her?
